Cookie policy
The list at simpleranking.app uses only its own technical cookies, which are strictly necessary for it to work, and stores a few technical settings in your browser. There are no third-party cookies or analytics tools in the list (visits are counted with an in-house, cookie-free system, and the game's own usage statistics add no cookies), so no consent is required (article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002, LSSI-CE). The world population pages show Google ads, which ask for your consent first: see below.
Cookies
| Name | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sr | A random identifier so the list knows it is you: your position, your points and what it remembers. It cannot be read by the page's scripts (HttpOnly) and is only sent to simpleranking.app. The game's own usage statistics hang off the same identifier (see the privacy policy). If you cancel your receipt and get a new one, it also carries a random key, so the cookies on your other devices stop working. | 2 years |
sr-de | Set only if you arrive through someone else's link and are new to the list: it records whose link it was (their public identifier), so that the visit counts for them. It is deleted on your first visit. | Up to 7 days |
Local storage
| Name | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sr-sensores | On iPhone and iPad, whether you have allowed the list to read your device's motion, so that it does not ask again. | Until you delete it |
sr-sonido | Whether you turned on the list's sounds (the ♪ at the top). Off unless you turn them on. | Until you turn them off or delete it |
sr-banderas | A legacy counter of the flags you tapped. On your next visit, it is moved to the server and deleted. | Until your next visit |
Payments
If you pay an optional fee, the payment is made on Stripe's own page, which uses its own cookies to process it and prevent fraud (Stripe's cookie policy). simpleranking.app does not set or read them.
Advertising (population pages only)
The world population pages, and never the list, show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies there to show and measure ads, personalized or not, only after you make your choice in Google's consent notice. You can change your choice at any time from that notice. More information in Google's policy.
How to delete them
You can delete the cookie and the local storage in your browser's settings at any time. If you do, the list will treat you as someone who has just arrived, unless you present the receipt shown in your file. More about your data:privacy policy.
